• Breakfast and lunch in the Gator cafeteria are free to all Captain Shreve students this school year. Stop in!
• Come one, come all... It's that time of year again. It's time for Track Team try-outs. If you can run fast or run long, jump far or jump high or even throw, come on out and help your team win a district championship. Try-outs will be February 3, 4, and 5, from 4:10pm - 5:30pm. Have your own transportation home, bring workout clothes, and your own water. Questions See Coach Law or Coach Carter.
• Big congrats to the girls track team member Kaylanii Proby. She placed 7th overall in the shot put this weekend at the LSU indoor track meet in Baton Rouge.
• Check the student handbook on the website if you need information about the dress code. No mid-drifts, no hoodies, no rips or tears, hems on shorts and skirts no higher than 4 inches above the knee. More guidelines in the handbook.
• The United States Coast Guard recruiter will be on campus Wednesday, January 29, for both lunch shifts.
• A representative from Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College will be on campus for both lunch shifts on January 28. Stop by the table if interested.
• Attention Seniors! If you and your parents need help with the FAFSA, please plan to attend FAFSA Night with them on Tuesday, January 28, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. We will have experts from Career Compass and The Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance to walk you through the process.
• Don’t miss the Shreve vs Huntington basketball game tonight at 6:00! It will be a big game. Get there early! Don’t forget our world-famous concession stand nachos and other goodies! Go Gators!
• There are no drop-offs for food, money, lunches, clothes, backpacks, Door Dash, Dominos, or any other food delivery service. Do not ask anyone to drop off anything for you.
• Students, food, and drinks are not permitted in the classrooms.
