The Stallions faced off under the lights against the Calvary Cavaliers last night.

The 7th grade gave up an early touchdown on the first drive of the game to go down 6-0 and held the Cavs scoreless the rest of the 1st half.  After a great opening drive to start the 2nd half Carl Raymond punched in a score to tie the game 6-6.  The point after attempt fell one yard short of the goal line which would have given the Stallions the lead.  The defense came through the 2nd half making some adjustments and held the Cavs scoreless once again in the second half.  The Stallions defense did not allow a first down in the second half of the game and held the Cavs to negative yardage.  The game ended in a 6-6 tie.

The 8th grade team got off to a slow start with the Cavs scoring on their first possession.  The Stallions offense had a tough go against the Cavs whose defensive line looked like a high school team.  The Cavs scored again to go up 14-0 but on a late drive in the 2nd quarter SirDerek Williams picked off a pass and ran it in for an apparent touchdown.  A penalty negated the score but on the next play with 8 seconds left Blage Lopez found Cole Rice for a 35 yard touchdown.  After a hard fought 4th quarter the Stallions surrendered another score and the final was 20-6.

7th grade players of the game:

Defense:  William Cox

8th grade players of the game:
