Veterans Day 2023

Fairfield Elementary Magnet celebrated Veterans Day 2023 with an assembly attended by students, Alumni, Veterans, and active duty military relatives of students.

Student of the Year Madeline Maier welcomed guests, served as the Master of Ceremonies, and led the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States Flag. Following Madeline, Principal Morris, who is also a U.S. Air Force Veteran, spoke about the impact Fairfield Alumni have had on shaping the school vision and path over the last 100 years.

Honoring our Veterans and active duty military, the 4th grade students led by Mrs. Johnson and Coach Carscadden sang two patriotic songs expressing love and support of Veterans and the sacrifices that they have made.

PTA President Lindsey Lewis introduced Army Veteran Mike Harper. Veteran Harper served during the Vietnam War and he focused his remarks on sharing experiences, thanking veterans for their service, and explaining how important it is for communities to host programs like Fairfield's Veteran's Day Program.

Fairfield is excited to celebrate its 100 year centennial birthday during the 2023-2024 school year. The school's next big event is attending the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl on December 16, 2023. Contact the school for information about the pre-game Alumni reception and game tickets.
