The Fairfield Elementary Student Council led the 2022 Can Food Drive to collect canned food donations to donate to community-based organization Common Ground Community. The School collected 3,584 food items and 27 turkeys. When asked why donating to the food drive is important, Student Council Member Spencer Dean said “I think it is important because it helps needy families and it allows them to have a great holiday.” Spencer also suggested that students donate 40 cans each which became known as the “Spencer Challenge” during the drive.
Fairfield is proud of our students, parents, and their families as they support our school goals to broaden parent and community involvement while improving school pride. The Student Council is led by teachers Mrs. Scott, Mrs. Amato, and Ms. Eseman consisting of students in the 4th and 5th grade. The school is well on its way to becoming the premier elementary school in Caddo Parish!
