Hello Parents and Guardians of Herndon Magnet School Students, this is Tom Thomas, Principal of Herndon Magnet School with Herndon Highlights for the week of May 1, 2023.
• The first three days of testing went great, but we still have two days on May 1 and May 2, along with make-up tests. During testing, no student will need a backpack. In addition, we need students to leave phones, smart watches, ear buds, and/or anything that is Blue Tooth or internet accessible at home. We are asking that students in grades 3-8 bring an AR book to read during wait times.
• Today is the last day to order Field Day T-Shirts. T-shirts must be ordered on Local Level. No extras will be available.
• 4H will have a field trip on Thursday, May 4.
• The 6th Grade World Culture Fair will be Thursday, May 4, at 6:00 PM in the auditorium.
• The Herndon Highsteppers will have their Spring Show on Friday, May 5, at 6:00 PM.

• Information about the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Camp for boys ages 9-12 is in the front office at Herndon. The camp will run from June 11-14, and the deadline to register is May 15, 2023.
