I want to Congratulate Herndon’s 5th and 8th grade Student of the Year Finalists.
5th Grade: Jake Hobbs, Lillian Janz, Aubrey Johnson, Paisley Johnson, and Gadin Wall.
8th Grade: Carleigh Chadwick, Maggie Chiles, Savannah Hebert, Sawyer Lummus, Ava McLendon, and Melanie Posey.
The winner at the school level will go on to compete at the district level.
Congratulations to the Cross Country Team! They finished strong at the middle school championship on Saturday, October 21. I want to give a special congratulations to Emma Lawson. Emma finished in first place in the 6th-grade girls' division! Way to go Cross Country and Coach Kellie Carlisle!
I want to wish the best to Maggie Chiles, G’liyah Davenport, Farren Festavan, Sawyer Lummus, Laila Parsons, Evelyn Ward, and Kylie Wier and their choir teacher, Ms. Arnese Brass, as they travel to New Orleans this week to sing in the Louisiana American Choral Directors Association Allstate Honor Choir. We are so proud of these choir students!
