Hello Parents and Guardians of Herndon Magnet School Students, this is Tom Thomas, Principal of Herndon Magnet School with Herndon Highlights for the week of April 29, 2024.
• Cheer Camp runs April 29-May 1, with try-outs on Thursday, May 2.
• Herndon Night at Zaxby’s is tomorrow from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
• Field Trips: April 29 – Kindergarten to Brownlee Park; April 30 – Film Club to Robinson Film Center; May 1 – MS GT to ArtSpace & Spring St. Museum; May 1 – 3rd Grade Discoveries & GT to Natchitoches; May 2 – NJHS & STUCO to The Providence House and 5th Grade Discoveries & GT to Bengal Bounce.
• Field Day will be held Friday, May 3. Tickets for activities and food for after Field Day events must be purchased on Local Level. No K-12 students from other schools (Private, Public, Charter, Home School, etc.) can be at Field Day unless they have been authorized to work with the HMS PTSA.
• As we prepare for end of the year activities, I wanted to remind you that all Caddo Parish School facilities are tobacco free.
• The HMS Highsteppers’ Spring Show has been moved from Friday, May 3 at 6:00 PM to Thursday, May 9, at 7:00 PM.
