Hello Parents and Guardians of Herndon Magnet School Students, this is Tom Thomas, Principal of Herndon Magnet School with Herndon Highlights for the week of September 16, 2024.
• There will be Scouting leader information meeting for Herndon parents/guardians in the Herndon Cafeteria tomorrow, September 16, at 6:00 PM. This meeting is also for parents and students who missed the Join Scouting Night on September 5.
• Softball this week: Mon., Sept 16, Herndon vs. Northside @ Green Oaks @5:30 pm; Make-up game with Donnie Bickham at Northwood on Wed, Sept 18 @ 5:30 PM; Thurs., Sept 19, North Caddo vs. Herndon @ Northwood @ 6:30 pm All tickets must be purchased on Local Level. The ticket price is $7.00.
• Herndon Football will play in Coushatta on Tuesday, September 17. The game will start at 5:30 PM.
• Prime Time will be held Tuesday, September 17, for families who have registered.
• Herndon’s Got Talent rehearsal will be held after school on Thursday, September 19 from 3:30 – 5:30 PM.
• Herndon’s Got Talent will be in the auditorium on Friday, September 20, at 6:00 PM, and tickets must be purchased on Local Level. Tickets are $6.00, and there will be a People’s Choice Award. Voting for this is $1.00 per vote, and it is cash only.
• The Lady Hawks 8th Grade Volleyball Team will play Saturday, September 21. All volleyball games will be played at NORTHPORT SPORTS COMPLEX.
• Herndon Elementary Parents/Guardians: This is to remind you that class birthdays are celebrated with one treat (cupcake, cookie, donut, or bag of chips). There are no balloons, gifts, trinkets, or toys to be brought to give to every student in the class to take home. This should take place at the end of the day. Please make arrangements with your child’s teacher. Thanks for your help and understanding with this matter.
