Hello Parents and Guardians of Herndon Magnet School Students, this is Tom Thomas, Principal of Herndon Magnet School with Herndon Highlights for the week of September 12, 2022:
• The PTSA Fall Cookie Dough Fundraiser ends tomorrow, September 12, please return all order forms and payments in the original envelope.
• There will be a 4-H meeting for 4th and 5th graders on Tuesday, September 13, at 2:30 PM for those who have paid the $12.00 dues.
• The Hawks football team will host Ringgold on Tuesday, September 13, at North Caddo High School Stadium. The game will start at 5:30 PM, and the cost of admission is $5.00. This game is not on Local Level, so please bring cash.
• The Lady Hawks softball team will play Walnut Hill at Southwood High School on Thursday, September 15. The game starts at 6:30 PM, and tickets must be purchased at locallevelevents.com.
• Students will take yearbook pictures on Thursday, September 15. Students must wear school uniforms for yearbook pictures. Your student should have come home last week with information about school pictures.
• The Herndon Cross Country Team will be running in the PCA Knights Invitational at Providence Christian Academy in Bossier on Saturday, September 17 at 8:00 AM.
• The North Caddo Shooting Club will have a free shooting sports day on Saturday, October 15, from 10 AM to 1 PM. For more information, please contact Casey Hall at 318-349-6721 or Johnny Kemp at 318-564-6647.
• Every Friday will be a Spirit Clothes Day at Herndon. Students can only wear jeans or jean shorts. The jeans or jean shorts must not have holes, rips, or tears in them. Jean shorts cannot be more than four (4) inches above the knees all the way around. On Spirit Clothes Day, students may wear any Herndon shirt. All clothes must meet CPSB Dress Code Policy.
• All transportation changes need to be made through the office. We prefer transportation changes to be in writing, but you may call the office at 221-7676. Afternoon changes must be made by 2:15 PM.
