Hello Parents and Guardians of Herndon Magnet School Students, this is Tom Thomas, Principal of Herndon Magnet School with Herndon Highlights for the week of September 26, 2022: · Herndon Yearbooks are on sale now at www.locallevelevents.com. This is an early bird special for $50 with free personalization.
· The Lady Hawks softball team will host Donnie Bickham at Northwood High School tomorrow, September 26. The game starts at 5:00 PM, and tickets must be purchased at locallevelevents.com.
· On Wednesday, September 28, students may wear any top with uniform bottoms as part of PBIS reward. The tops must meet CPSB policy.
· On Wednesday morning, September 28, we are asking that all front car riders use the A-Wing car line due to “See You at the Pole” which will be held in front of the school.
· Every Friday will be a Spirit Clothes Day at Herndon. Students can only wear jeans or jean shorts. The jeans or jean shorts must not have holes, rips, or tears in them. Jean shorts cannot be more than four (4) inches above the knees all the way around. On Spirit Clothes Day, students may wear any Herndon shirt. All clothes must meet CPSB Dress Code Policy.
· Elementary and Middle Magnet Applications are now available on the CPSB website until January 6, 2023. You can also find information on Herndon’s website on the “Home” page. Testing will be in January and February. Please help us spread the word about HERNDON MAGNET SCHOOL.
· Due to conflicts with other activities in the community, Family Fun Night at Herndon has been moved from October 6 to October 27 from 5 PM – 8 PM.
· I want to remind everyone that there are only two weeks left in this first nine weeks. The nine weeks ends on Friday, October 7, which is the Friday before Fall Break.
