Welcome to Magnet Testing for Elementary and Middle Schools.

Late Magnet Testing Applications (beginning May 1, 2025 - May 31, 2025) Testing is only for schools with vacancies: Claiborne, Judson, and Herndon.
Remember to apply for the grade your student is entering in SY 2025-2026.
After submitting an on-line application, you will receive a notification email with your assigned testing date when a testing date is determined. Please do not submit your application but once! If you tested in Jan., you may NOT test again now.
Only one person can accompany the student testing.
Testing for Kindergarten and 1st grades will be June 4 at the Wanda Gunn PD Building Auditorium beginning at 8:30. You will be emailed a time assigned to your child. 3908 Joplin Ave. (In the fenced area behind CPSB)
Testing for 2nd grade will be 8:30 June 5 at the Wanda Gunn PD Building
Testing for 3rd grade will be 1:00 June 5 at the Wanda Gunn PD Building
Testing for 4th and 5th grades will be 8:30 June 11 at the CPSB. Report to lobby. 1961 Midway Ave
Testing for 6th, 7th and 8th grades will be 1:00 June 11 at the CPSB. Report to lobby. 1961 Midway Ave
Testing for grades 2 - 8 takes about 2 hours - Parents must leave the building and return in time to pick the student up. Kindergarten and 1st grade testing only last 20 minutes. Parents must wait for the child to complete the test.

Proof of Residence
Elementary students are required to provide proof of Caddo Parish residence by uploading to online application.
For students offered placement in middle school, proof of Caddo Parish residence will be required at contract signing.
Affidavit of Residency (To be used only if the proof of residence is NOT in the parent/guardian’s name)
Non-Caddo Parish residents who test and are offered placement at a magnet school must have proof of residence in Caddo Parish by August 1, 2025 to complete enrollment in a magnet school.
Transportation Policy
Students attending magnet schools shall be provided transportation. Parents shall be responsible for transporting students to designated pickup points which are determined by the district’s Transportation Department. (revised Jan. 2017)
