Community Feedback Guides Superintendent Selection Process as Firm Selects Semifinalists
The search firm retained to assist in the selection of the next superintendent of Caddo Parish Public Schools will present a slate of semifinalist candidates to the Caddo Parish School Board at 3:30 p.m. on August 27 in the Board Room. McPherson & Jacobson, LLC, has conducted an extensive nationwide search, considering input from various stakeholders including parents, staff, students, and community members.
The results of nearly 700 community surveys and stakeholder meetings have been compiled and reviewed. Participants were invited to share their thoughts on the qualities and priorities they believe are most important in a new superintendent. The feedback gathered will play a crucial role in guiding the Board as they work to identify a leader who embodies the district’s values and is committed to driving educational excellence.
During Tuesday’s presentation, the Board will review the credentials, experience, and leadership qualities of each semifinalist. The Board will then select finalists for further interviews.
The district remains committed to a transparent and inclusive selection process, ensuring that the final decision reflects the needs and priorities of the entire school district. The Board has established a goal of October 1 to select a superintendent. Updates on the superintendent search, including details about the interview process, will continue to be shared with the community through the district’s website.
