They were recognized for their incredible new Green Ribbon status awarded by the U.S. Department of Education for their sustainability practices and educational offerings. This honor was only granted to 27 schools across the nation. Congratulation Magnet High! #WeAreCaddo

Our own music extraordinaire, Emmanuel Hudson, is a quarterfinalist for an award from the GRAMMY'S! Hudson is Director of Bands at Booker T. Washington High. Out of 1,500+ applicants, he is amongst the top 200 to receive a 2023 Music Educator Award. This award recognizes current educators who have made a significant contribution to music education in schools. Stay tuned for September when we find out if Hudson will continue to advance. For now, we are so excited to celebrate him and this significant accolade! Congratulations Mr. Hudson!

As we prepare for high school graduations this week, we take a moment to celebrate a former Caddo student for being Commissioned and promoted to Second Lieutenant.
Caleb Krikorian graduated from Northwood with the Class of 2018. While in high school, he was Corps Commander serving all JROTC students across the district. He has since been a distinguished military student at Northwestern and will now serve in the National Guard. Congratulations Lt. Krikorian! #BIGDreamsStartHere
Congratulations to Caddo student Megan Crutchfield of the Community Education Life Transition (CELT) program on SUSLA’s campus! Megan received her CELT certificate of completion after several years of great success! The Caddo Schools CELT program is a partnership between our district and Southern University-Shreveport as well as Bossier Parish Community College. The program helps students with disabilities to earn educational opportunities and workforce assistance. Congratulations Megan on your success!
